Last Thursday (June 28, 2018) I spent part of the morning hiking at Amnicola Marsh and Greenway Farm with a brief stop at Chickamauga Dam. This was a photographic excursion to test out a new camera and I got some interesting images, including the one at the left, a coneflower (AKA Echinacea). It bloomed in the small garden at the Hamil Road entrance to Greenway Farm. Numerous other flowers bloomed, both wild and in the garden.
Bird life was quiet, though I did see a pair of Blue-winged Teal and a Kingfisher at Amnicola Marsh. Due to limitations of the lens, I concentrated on macro images. Also got a nice image of a button bush at Amnicola Marsh. More photos from Greenway Farm appear below.
