With opportunity to try out kayaks
Saturdy, June 11,
1 PM to 3 PM
South Chickamauga Creek provides over 30 miles of paddling from Ringgold, Georgia to the Tennessee River above downtown Chattanooga. While its gentle currents provide fun for even novice paddlers, knowing where to put in and take out can be intimidating in its own right. This class will cover the most common places to launch boats from along South Chick, what obstacles may require portaging, and what resources are available for paddlers to help create your perfect day on the water.
TU Canoe Rental & Shuttle will be on hand after the class with several kayaks you can try out in the creek!
Talk begins at 1:00 pm in Walker Hall at Audubon Acres. No charge for class.
